Join us for Bet Mishpachah’s annual Shabbaton on Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th! This year, Rabbi Ariel Tovlev will be joining us to teach about queer and trans theology. On Friday night following the Shabbat services, Rabbi Tovlev will share his story along with an introduction to his queer and trans theology. On Saturday following the Shabbat morning service and Kiddush lunch, Rabbi Tovlev will lead an interactive text study which will explore how our ancient rabbis conceptualized gender beyond the binary in Torah text. As a group, we will process how the teachings of our ancient rabbis may shed light on our own lived experiences and identities.
