LGBTQ+ Visit to the Holocaust Museum
Friday, June 6 || United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
On Friday, June 6, at 10:00 am, Bet Mishpachah has organized a visit to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. We will visit Americans and the Holocaust, a portrait of American society that shows how the Depression, isolationism, xenophobia, racism, and antisemitism shaped the U.S. response to Nazism and the Holocaust. It reveals how much information was available to Americans at the time and asks why rescuing Jews did not become a priority, except for a few individuals who took the risk to help. Those who wish to remain will be able to tour the self-guided permanent exhibition, The Holocaust, which offers a chronological narrative of the Holocaust through historical artifacts, photographs, and film footage. We will meet at the entrance to the Museum, which is located at 100 Raoul Wallenberg Place, SW; Washington, DC 20024-2126.
Space is limited. Please register here

42nd Annual Pride Interfaith Service
Tuesday, June 3rd at 7 PM
Join us for the 42nd anniversary of our local LGBTQ+ community celebration of religious pluralism and interfaith collaboration. Founded during the era the Names Project AIDS memorial quilts, we continue to connect and weave many LGBTQ+ faith communities.
The Capital Pride Interfaith Service is a community-based service respectfully demonstrating the breadth, depth, and sincerity of our faith, countering any misconception that anti-gay fundamentalists have a monopoly on faith and religion. We take pride that our community expresses its religious faiths in a myriad of ways, each sacred and revered with years of tradition.
